Carers

An unpaid carer is someone who looks after a family member or friend with a health condition. That can mean helping them with personal tasks like washing or dressing, helping them with mobility or managing around the home, providing emotional support or just keeping an eye on them.

Being registered as a carer with your GP surgery means that your doctor will know that you are looking after someone and be aware of how this may impact your health and well-being. You might be invited to have a flu jab, health checks or be given flexible appointments. To register as a carer, please complete our Register a Carer form.
